Super ultra coronatarian politics 2: turbo (and extras) - (27.1.21)

Well, another day another dollar, as our friend Dr. Coomer would say. I’ll be honest, I’m sick of writing about COVID, it’s as boring as a late night talk show host with no orange man to make their career off of. But, like Sisyphus and his mighty Boulder, I am yet again here to push the headlines out with my spin of cynical rhetoric.

So, first up on the chopping block, the PM, Boris “Sniff my hair please daddy Joe Biden” Johnson made a statement regarding the now 100k strong death total from the old China Flu. Honestly, I’d sooner punt him, his pet pussy, Rees Moggy and Hancock all out of number 10 and down to meet me round the back of the pub for a strong worded conversation (those words being “Why did you break teeth?”). Look, you know it and I know it, the arguments have already been made and are on the table, even if the people supportive of these things don’t want to talk about them or even try to conceive that maybe people don’t want to lose their jobs over a novel illness. Let’s just leave it at that.

In other news, the big Don, the mad lad he is, he has opened an “office of the former president”, easily the biggest fuck you to Sleepy Joe that I’ve seen in a while. It’s hilarious! Not entirely sure what the damn point is frankly, but if it continues to annoy people then I’ll take it. I’ll be honest, politics and world news right now has taken a major turn for the boring after our man in the big house left so unceremoniously. I mean, Nicola Sturgeon may be on the out if it turns that she mislead parliament, that’d be a good headline for sure, at least then the Independence charade is over, but I’m doubtful. It’s all a bit of a joke it sometimes feels, the world is backwards, and the doomerism is very easy to fall into. The Best thing we can do is try to get on with ourselves.

Keep it cool, keep it dirty, and I’ll see ya tomorrow with more garbage, ciao!
