Birdwatchers of the state, are you kidding me? (28.1.21)
If I started recording these vlogs instead of typing them, I'd open this post with 10 minutes of laughter. Now, this is news to me! But apparently Twitter is recruiting its own users to tackle "fake news" and "misinformation" on the site, because Twitter, as we all know, is the epicentre of facts and knowledge.
Personally, I don't know how the fuck people are still on Twitter, it's astounding that folk on the lamestream side of politics would consider this completely reasonable. We've been in clown world for a little while now, but this takes the cake for what weird and wacky shit the media sees as completely reasonable nowadays.
It's been a pretty slow news day recently, I'm still working through the AC/DC Disq Driver part 2, but that is a very tiring job, which is surprising for just listening to music all day, but it is boring as fuck eventually. By album three you're just hoping for a release lol. Still, we'll get it done! Let's see some other headlines.
Oh, I know!! The r/WallStreetBets shit with Gamestop! Okay, this is a little out of my wheelhouse in terms of understanding, but I find it too funny to miss out on. The subreddit has just today, managed to skyrocket the price of shares in Gamestop to the point where Wall Street is losing their shit. A bunch of Redditors and 4-Chan spergs are currently causing Nasdaq and others to bawl and complain about the fact they've wrecked a hedge fund because they decided to fuck with the millionares, that is absolutely the best news I've heard so far this year! Just goes to show ya that the internet always wins in the end, we'll always find new ways to be autistic for laughs. What we're seeing is a tug of war, when millions of average-Joe traders does exactly what these millionares and large businesses do, they've manipulated the market by buying into an irrelevant stock and have potentially made millions. I don't have all the information on it, but once I find a video that explains it well, I'll link it.
That might have to do it for today, though, got other work to do, and I need to start writing things on stuff that trends, because my marketing degree is linked to this blog (regrettably I might add, I didn't want to do this for anything but fun). So, that's where I'll leave you today, punks, hope you enjoy the rest of your evening, and I'll see you tomorrow!
